Chemical mapping (energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy) data of replacement microstructures in carbonates from the Junction gold deposit near Kambalda in the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. Maps sh... moreow relationships between phases as calcite is replaced by dolomite and siderite. Included are the Bruker composite files that contain spectra for each point on the map, images of chemical maps for individual elements and composite RGB maps showing Mg, Fe, and Ca respectively. For composite images, chemistry is overlain on back scattered electron images to give the image the resolution of the BSE image but chemical data from the x-ray spectra.less
Gold Research - Imaging of chemical variations during replacement reactions - Published 16 May 2013
Electron back scatter diffraction data of carbonates from the Junction gold deposit near Kambalda in the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. Maps show relationships between phases as calcite is replace... mored by dolomite and siderite. Collection contains .ctf (Channel Text Files) which are ASCII files with phase and orientation data as euler angles. Note that dolomite is indexed using the calcite match unit due to problems with systematic misindexing of dolomite. Two files are included for each map with suffixes 'Raw' and 'Processed' to indicate the as collected and final published data respectively. less
Gold Research - Electron Back Scatter Diffraction Analysis of Carbonate Replacement Microstructures - Published 16 May 2013
Images of replacement microstructures in carbonates from the Junction gold deposit near Kambalda in the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. Images show relationships between phases as calcite is replac... moreed by dolomite and siderite. Included are the raw images as well as a full sized stitched version, a reduced resolution stitched image and a contrast adjusted image that shows variations in the back scattered electron response of both the siderite, and dolomite and calcite. less
