Boundaries Reporting regions Boundaries Reporting regions


Reporting regions were defined by combining the extents of Water Sharing Plans and State/MDBC River Models (ie IQQM, Realm, MSMBigMod). Modelling catchments were defined by States river model nodes (allmodel 6v1 renamed to model6v1geo) and aggregated to fit within Areas covered by Water Sharing plans (approximately AWRC boundaries). The Modelling catchments (model6v1geo) were assigned the appropriate Reporting Region number and dissolved. Credit: The Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields project was undertaken by CSIRO under the Australian Government's Raising National Water Standards Program, administered by the National Water Commission. CSIRO acknowledges the contributions of datasets from ACTEW Corporation, Australian National University (Fenner School of Environment & Society), Department of Environment and Resource Management (Queensland), Department for Water (South Australia), Geoscience Australia, Department of Sustainability and Environment (Victoria), Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (New South Wales) and Snowy Hydro Limited, which were used in the derivation of the catchment boundaries and reporting regions datasets.
