P1031 - A pilot study to demonstrate novel radio pulsar emission analysis techniques
Pulsars emit light-house like beams of radio waves that sweep across the Galaxy with each rotation of the star. Unlike a steady search beam, the pulsar beam crackles and pops with lightning-like discharges of energy.
