Benthic Eukaryote (18S rDNA) Survey of E and S Alligator Rivers, Kakadu National Park


The data encompasses a benthic survey of the East and South Alligator Rivers, Kakadu National Park. Each estuary was survey on two occasions (wet and dry), encompassing eight sites from the mouth to the road crossings.

Data is derived from 454 FLX pyrosequencing of the 18S rRNA gene. Data was processed using Amplicon Pyrosequence Denoising Program (APDP) (Morgan et al. 2013). The data wall data was rarefacted 3855 reads. Taxonomy is provided using both SILVA and GenBank.


Data was collected as part of the National Environmental Research Program (NERP), Northern Australian Biodiversity Hub, Biodiversity Monitoring and Reporting Project 5.4. Collaborators: CSIRO, AIMS, Charles Darwin University
