Landsat MODIS blending fusion Coleambally

The Landsat imagery were atmospherically corrected using the radiative transfer code known as MODerate resolution TRANsmittance. Geocorrection was defined using the Australian Geodetic Datum (AGD66). MODIS Collection 5 data were acquired by Terra only, specifically MOD09GA downloaded from the USGS DAAC (ftp://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOLT/, during Sep 2011). MODIS data were geometrically transformed from the USGS DAAC supplied tiles which have a sinusoidal projection to WGS84 using the MODIS Reprojection Tool (https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/lpdaac/tools/modis_reprojection_tool, accessed 27 Sep 2011).

Blending of Landsat-MODIS surface reflectances


The blending algorithms STARFM and ESTARFM were evaluated: (i) over the entire site; (ii) for subsets of specific land cover types.


Analysis


The Landsat imagery were atmospherically and geo-corrected. MODIS product MOD09GA was downloaded from USGS DAAC.
