These are behavioural data from tests conducted on individual hens that differed in their range use. The tests applied were an Open Field Test, Tonic Immobility Test, and an Attention Bias test.

Attention bias free-range laying hen fear anxiety

The data were produced from individual tests conducted on hens that were selected from an experimental free-range population. The hens were identified using radio-frequency identification technology as frequent range users or non-ranging.

UNE: A17/2342 Effects of rearing environments on ranging, adaptation to stressors and health in free-range laying hens

A project based at experimental poultry facilities to measure how different enrichments applied during the indoor rearing period can impact the behaviour, health, and welfare of adult free-range hens that are provided outdoor access.
