Volatile Organic Compound passive sampler data from GISERA Air Quality study
Volatile organic compound, aldehyde and hydrogen sulphide (H2S) passive samplers were deployed at 10 sites in the Surat Basin as part of the Gas Industry Social and Environmental Research Alliance (GISERA) Surat Basin Ambient Air Quality project.
Samplers were deployed for an average exposure time of 2 weeks, providing a 2-week average concentrat... moreion for each gas. A total of 54 individual gases were measured. VOC samplers were deployed for 16 months from September 2014 - January 2016 and Radiello aldehyde and hydrogen sulphide passive samplers were deployed for 7 months from June 2015 – January 2016. Samplers were deployed at gas field sites which were in close proximity to coal seam gas (CSG) infrastructure, at regional sites, and in Chinchilla township.
The purpose of the measurements was to compare concentrations of gases to relevant air quality guidelines. Data was reported in Lawson et al., 2018, Intermediate Data Summary report, see https://gisera.csiro.au/project/ambient-air-quality-in-the-surat-basin/).
Environmental Chemistry (incl. Atmospheric Chemistry)
Samplers were deployed by SGS Consulting Chinchilla and analysed by SGS Consulting Mitcham. Concentration data were provided to CSIRO.

A... mores part of this study, passive gas samplers were deployed via a network of 10 sampling sites in the Miles-Chinchilla-Condamine region of Queensland. Passive gas samplers were deployed from September 2014 –December 2016. Concentration data were compared with relevant air quality objectives (Lawson et al., 2018, Intermediate Data Summary report, see https://gisera.csiro.au/project/ambient-air-quality-in-the-surat-basin/).
