The data were collected over three days at the Imaging and Medical Beamline (IMBL) at the Australian Synchrotron. Raw data was reconstructed using the X-TRACT software on the MASSIVE supercomputer facility. 3D image alignment for the aligned datasets was done using Avizo software.

Observing micro-scale gas diffusion processes in coal using multiple micro-CT scans of x-ray-visible gases diffusing into coal over a 3D period.


Observation


Imaging and medical beamline at the Australian synchrotron. Data collected at 34keV and 35keV for xenon diffusion samples, 28keV for Kr and CO2 diffusion samples.
