Water and Energy Supply and Consumption Vocabularies
Vocabularies for describing properties relating to water and energy supply and consumption expressed using Simple Knowledge Organisation Language (SKOS) and RDF. This set of vocabularies include land use definitions, commodities, notions of supply and consumption for water and energy (gas and electricity). The SKOS/RDF representation of these vocab... moreularies have been produced by CSIRO and is currently managed and updated by CSIRO. Content has been taken from the urban research group within CSIRO as well as the Australian Valuation Property Classification Codes work (http://www.dtpli.vic.gov.au/property-and-land-titles/valuation/council-valuations/revaluation-2014). This set of vocabulary definitions form supporting components for the WESC data standard (http://wescml.org). less

AURIN Lens 6/2
The AURIN Lens 6/2 project aims to improve data consistency and opportunities for cross-domain urban research in the area of water and energy supply and consumption via the development of interoperable data standards, resources and tools.
CSIRO is developed the Water and Energy Supply and Consumption (WESC) data standard; a nationally applicable d... moreata protocol for the recording, storage, access and interoperability of supply and consumption datasets for the energy and water industries.
The WESC protocol includes standard information models and exchange formats to allow consistent and accurate aggregation of information across jurisdictions and data custodians in the urban water and energy industries. The WESC data standard is being used to build a platform, called the SISS-AURIN Federated Services Hub, to link these datasets to AURIN and the wider community of urban researchers, policy makers and managers. less
